The Supreme Court today issued notices on the writ petition filed by Kothamangalam native Dr Jo Joseph and Kothamangalam block panchayat members Sheela Krishnankutty and Jessymol Jose in the issue of a lack of supervision of the water level in the Mullaperiyar dam.
While setting aside a verdict of the National consumer disputes redressal commission which had dismissed the plea of insurance firm against the order asking the firm to pay full death claim with interest, the honourable Supreme Court held that a contract of insurance is of “utmost good faith” and one who seeks to obtain a life insurance Policy must disclose all material facts bearing upon the issue.
