A petition was moved in Madhya Pradesh high court alleging violation of covid-19 protocols by Union agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar and state congress president Kamal Nath at political congregations in the Gwalior-Chambal region. Now, the Gwalior bench has directed the district magistrate Of Datia and Gwalior to ensure registration of FIR against those two for breach of covid-19 protocols.
The honourable Supreme Court today pronounced its judgement on the right to protest and ruled that during protest, the public places and road cannot be occupied indefinitely. This judgement was delivered in response to a stack of PILs filled by the protesters, protesting against the contentious citizenship amendment act.
Currently, the Bombay high court is hearing PILs filed by many individuals registering protest over the media trial being conducted in the reporting on the death of actor Sushant. This matter is heard by a bench of Justice GS Kulkarni and Justice Dipankar Datta.
Recently, the Kerala HC directed the CBI to investigate the Periya double case which took place at periya, Kasargod district. Today, the state government of Kerala sought Supreme Court against the decision of HC, where the honourable Supreme Court dismissed the government’s plea.
