Lakshmi Vilas Bank has been placed under moratorium for 1 month from 17th November to 16th December. Commencement or continuance of all actions and proceedings against that banking company during the period of moratorium has been stayed.
Yesterday, the All India Body of Priests and a social organisation had filed an appeal in court to become parties in Krishna janmabhoomi case. The appeal for removal of the Idgah Mosque, adjacent to the birthplace of Lord Krishna in Mathura will be heard, said the District judge.
Recently, the Broadcasting Audience Research Council has imposed a fine of Rs. 5 lakh on TV Today for violating its code of conduct. The TV Today has moved a writ petition in Bombay high court seeking protection against any further coercive steps, in which the Bombay high court directed the TV Today to deposit the fine amount and warned about their misconduct.
While disposing of an RTI application that sought informations about the bylaws/ rules governing the prime minister’s National Relief fund, the public information officer have stated that this PMNRF is not a public authority and does not come under the ambit of section- 2(h) of the RTI act, 2005.
