Today, the central government notified the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Adaptation of State Laws) Fifty order, 2020. As per this, a citizen of India can buy land in Jammu and Kashmir. The Jammu and Kashmir Alienation of Land Act 1955 now stands repealed as whole.
Justice Prathiba M. Singh of the Delhi High Court has directed Delhi University to take a relook at its course structures and the eligibility criteria and modify the same, well within time for the forthcoming academic year. The direction was issued on a plea claiming that marks in computer science in class XII ought to be considered while adjudging merit for admission to the B.Sc. Physics (Hons.) course.
