The Bombay High court today granted bail to actress Rhea Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant in Narcotic control and psychotropic substances Substances Act case registered by NCB. The court refused to grant bail tonRhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty and to Abdel Basotho Parihar.
Recently, Uttarakhand HC ordered direction to register FIR against the CM TS Rawat, who was accused of bribery by 2 journalists. Today, in this matter the honourable Supreme Court has stayed the Uttarakhand’s court order and stated that “CM is not a party in this Crime”.
The honourable Supreme Court has decided to hear a petition suggesting setting up of a proper board, institution or association to monitor content in OTT platforms and apply censorship if needed. The Supreme Court has issued necessary notices in this regard.
Recently, a plea has been moved in the honourable Supreme Court of India seeking direction to the ECI to nullify the election results and hold fresh election, if maximum votes have been secured by NOTA in a particular constituency. It also sought to restrict the candidates to contest in fresh elections who have participated in the invalidated election.
