Allahabad HC pulls up government over non-maintenance of archaeological site

The Delhi HC granted bail to Rajeev Sharma (journalist) who was arrested for allegedly leaking sensitive information to chinese intelligence. The court held that an accused is entitled to default bail if no minimum sentence is prescribed under the statute for the offence alleged against him and no charge sheet is filed in 60 days.

While reprimanding The Nagercoil Bar Association which called for the strike, the High court of madras granted police protection to an advocate who was suspected by the bar association for not following the Boycott call of the association.

A Delhi court has refused to entertain Zee media’s plea on ground of delay in filing. The plea was made against the non-summoning of Mahua Moitra in its criminal defamation case who made statements referring Zee media as uneducated and stupid. (Zee media Corporation V. state & Anr).
