The Role Responsibilities

Business

Build and maintain an effective and constructive relationship with all key business and functional stakeholders that is based on trust, capability and integrity, providing timely, responsive and quality support to enable the Bank to achieve its strategic objectives

  • Assist the eDDA team with confidential data extraction requests for Legal and Investigative matters in the Bank
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Document all data retrieval requests to the Data Requests Tracker in an accurate and timely manner
  • Work with system owners across the Bank to extract data from respective systems in a timely manner
  • Maintain a record of business owner approvals with SLAs and/or agreements on direct access to Bank systems for data extraction
  • Implement processes for extracting data from Bank systems
  • Ensure that extracted data is provided in a legible format as per the requirements of the eDDA team (human or machine readable)
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve data extraction issues as they arise
  • Play a crucial role in the development of data collection mechanisms
  • Develop reports and dashboards on data extractions for reporting and audit purposes.
  • Identify key pain points of data extraction processes and help create solutions through development of new strategies
  • Supporting migration of new processes and testing new tools
  • Building strong partnerships with all internal/external stakeholders that allow end-to-end seamless delivery

Risk Management

  • Apply all relevant Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures to manage risks.
  • To undertake periodic self-assessment on key controls to assess the proper functioning and adequacy of existing controls.

Governance

  • In the event of serious regulatory breaches, or where risk tolerances have been breached, ensure senior management are informed and that actions are taken quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Our Ideal Candidate

  • Graduate or Post graduate with  more than 2 years in a technical based role.
  • Work as a problem solver with a self-starter, inquisitive mentality and attitude
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of proficiency with PCsand applications such as  Excel, SQL, databases and data loading tools
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Good time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work accordingly
  • Experience in data entry and report generation
  • Commitment to maintain confidentiality and a high degree of accuracy of data
  • Diligent and disciplined in establishing and meeting deadlines
  • Information gathering and monitoring skills
  • Able to work independently and collaborate with team members globally
  • Understanding of forensic methodologies and eDiscovery technologies a plus
  • Experience in programming / scripting languages such as Python, Powershell, C++ a plus
