About the opportunity:

To assist the Legal Function. Should be capable of handling multiple legal assignments and ensure minimization of legal risks to the organization.

What you will be doing:

  1. Contracts:
  2. Review and negotiate commercial agreements such as client Master Services Agreements, SOWs/Work Orders, Vendor Contracts, Software License Agreements, Service Level Agreements, NDAs and RFPs.
  3. Ensure legal risks are addressed while balancing business needs and objectives.
  4. Ensure contracts are negotiated within contracting standards, while facilitating deal-to-deal specific exceptions and customizations and pro-actively working with Business team. members to creatively solve issues.
  5. Ability to take ownership of projects.
  6. Data Privacy:
  7. Legal advice on data privacy and information security requirements as applicable globally.
  8. Lead / assist in data privacy projects as a legal expert.
  9. Intellectual Property Rights: Conversant with IPR laws and practice.
  10. Specific Projects: Assist with special projects as the need arises to support the businesses strategic growth while keeping within the acceptable risk profile.
  11. Conducting Trainings: Conducting training and awareness sessions on upcoming legal and compliance areas. Ensure team development and orientation. Continue to build and improve processes to minimize team conflicts.

What will you bring to the team:

  1. Must have excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills; extensive experience with global commercial contracts.
  2. Attention to detail.
  3. Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  4. Quick turnaround time.
  5. Graduate in Law (LLB) regular from a reputed institute with good academic background.
  6. 3-6+ years of experience: with a company in ITeS domain or a law firm or both.
  7. Experience working in an MNC (preferable but not mandatory).
  8. Experience working with senior individuals.
  9. Experienced in negotiation with clients based in US/ UK/ EU.
  10. Must be able to accommodate working hours overlapping with US/ UK/ EU.
